The Science of Food and Mood

This retreat offers a gentle exploration of the gut–brain connection through the lens of yoga and mindful nutrition.

Together, we’ll look at simple ways to support longevity and balance through fasting, nourishing foods, and the Sattvika diet.

You’ll also gain practical insights from yoga psychology to deepen your understanding of how mind and body work together in sustaining health and emotional wellbeing

Your Hosts

Liila Hass

Liila is a licensed, registered Naturopath and Nutritionist, a licensed Mental Health Practitioner in the US and Australia, and a practicing Yoga Therapist. She has two Master’s Degrees in the therapies and wrote a Master’s research thesis on “Yoga Therapy for Anxiety”. She is registered as a Level Six (pentultimate level) instructor with Yoga Alliance International and has been practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for many years. Trained in India and the Americas, she has taught classes and run retreats in Europe, Russia, North and Central America, Australia, the Philippines and East Africa.

 

Liila’s current clinical work includes a focus on Women’s Health, biochemistry (including gut health, micro-nutrient and hormonal re-balancing), restorative endocrinology, the gut-brain axis, working with hormones, complex mood disorders, and general wellbeing.  She sees clients in private practice and also works as an educator, running workshops, retreats and online training sessions for clients and clinicians alike.
